ISLAMABAD: Syed Mustafain Kazmi has been posted as member environment of the Capital Development Authority (CDA).

The post was vacated in January as the previous member was posted back to the Establishment Division. Mr Kazmi, currently the senior most employee of CDA, is serving in grade 20. He joined the authority in May 1984.

The federal government promoted and posted him as member administration of CDA in February 2010. On March 5, last year, he was posted as member planning and design.

His major achievements in the CDA include development and conservation of Saidpur village and the establishment of the first food street in the city – Melody Food Park.

The CDA employees’ union has also welcomed the decision of the government saying that it is easy for a Capital Development Authority employee to understand the issues faced by workers in the civic body.
