LAHORE: After former Test captain and legendary batsman Inzamam-ul-Haq refused to conduct trials of the Lahore Region Cricket Association (LRCA) for the PCB U-19 tournament, another former Test spinner Mohammad Hussain has been named as chief selector by the Lahore association.
According to a LRCA press release, Inzamam has refused to act as chief selector due to other pressing assignments.
And now Saud Ahmed and Iqbal Zahoor will assist Mohammad Hussain in conducting the trials.
The North and West Zone trials are scheduled to be held on April 17 and 18 at the LCCA ground.
On Tuesday, the two-day East Zone trials started at the LCCA ground. Around 150 probables appeared for the trials on the first day. —Sports Reporter

Anyone asking God's help rather than than relying on talent and hard work to win them matches should be banned from all sports. God has more important things to do than win you matches.

Brilliant reasoning as always.... not mismanagement of the boards, not corruption in the PCB, not the dismal facilities and domestic structure, not match-fixing or politicking.... no it was the maulvis who ruined cricket!

A good decision by Inzi. He should stay away from the dirty politics that haunt our cricket today.
By the way, INZI is and always will be the BEST.

Good decision by Inzamam-ul-Haq.
In fact, the entire setup of cricket in the land of the pure is highly messed-up, grossly dubious, absolutely faulty and greatly ridden with politics and nepotism. It's better to stay off from the PCB trash because even if somebody passes by it, he/she will have some unpleasant effects to bear directly or indirectly, implicitly or explicitly knowingly or unknowingly.

I can bet if Inzi returns to test or one day cricket today, he could still carry on and pile up runs. For those who look at his run outs, try and be a bit more positive. He is the 5th highest run scorer in the history of One Day Cricket (11739 runs in 378 games) and 8830 in Test Cricket (only 120 tests while batting 3rd, 4th or 5th).
I'll have him any day in my team, and particularly for being the only man in cricket to stand up against racist Daryl hair.

First it was Rashid Latif and now it is Inzimam: surely all is not well in the kingdom of PCB! They don't think that the selection can be done on merit.

Religion is every one's personal matter...I think it is not fair to criticize anybody on personal religious attitude..Inzee was a legendary cricketer of all times..We should respect him as our hero.

@Dr.Sohaib
You are absolutely right, religion is everyone's personal matter. That's why it needs to be kept personal and not imposed upon people who work with you for you (if you are coach or captain). What do you think the terrorists are doing?

Yup dear...You r right but Are there such complaints that Inzee has imposed something regarding religion on team?? This team has had the foreigner coaches as well irrespective of their religion..even Inzee has worked as a Captian under such coaches without any hindrance..I think we are only authorized to make positive criticism.
As far as Taliban are concerned,,Not a single sensible person can declare their modus operandi as right..

RaviDallasTX. What is your problem with religion and those having beards. Can you ask Navjot Siddu to shave off his beard or other great Indian like Bishen Singh Bedi. Pl keep your comments to cricket only and do not bring any body`s personal likes/religious traits in cricket. Behave like a sports man and not like a stinking religious fundo.
