KARACHI: Four men, including a prayer leader who went missing over a month ago, were found shot dead in Surjani Town on Tuesday, police and hospital sources said.

They added that the corpses with bullet wounds were spotted at ‘Zero Point’ in Surjani near Shah Beg Goth.

The bodies were shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where three of them were identified through identity cards found in their pockets as Samiullah, Hafeezullah and Mohammed Faisal while the fourth one could not be identified immediately.

All the victims were in their mid-20s, the police said.

Surjani Town SHO Bashir Ahmed said that the deceased wearing beards appeared to be Pakhtun.

He said that the investigators found 10 spent bullet casings at the crime-scene.

The officer said that the relative of one of the deceased, Hafeezullah, approached the police to claim the body.

The SHO said that the victim’s brother-in-law who received the corpse told the police that Hafeezullah, a resident of Bin Qasim Town, was a prayer leader of Madani mosque in Yusuf Goth. The relative told the police that he had been ‘missing’ since Jan 11, 2014.
