This is apropos of the letter, ‘Malala: working at home’ (Nov 30). It is hard to make out from the contents of the letter whether the writer is a foe or friend of Malala who has innocently advised her to return to Pakistan and work at home.

One must not forget that the Taliban had recently announced head money to kill the innocent girl. In a country where even security personnel are not safe and carry a large contingent of soldiers for their own safety, who would ensure her safety if she returns to Pakistan?

My humble advice to her is to stay wherever she is now and continue the good work she is doing for the cause of girls’ education in Pakistan and particularly Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

Moreover, who would deny the importance of Hijrat in Islam!
